Percy Parker's Flying Bathtub is a 'pick-and-mix' modular musical resource for primary schools, based on topics covered in the Key Stage 2 curriculum.

If you're studying the Tudors in class, for instance, there's a fifteen-minute scene (including two songs) based on the Tudors that you can read through and perhaps perform simply in an assembly. If another year group in your school is studying Food Chains or Vikings or Outer Space, there are scenes for them too. And if you want to put on a full-scale school production, just put everyone's scenes together and hey presto - a musical!

You can pick and mix from scripts based on a variety of topics, including the Ancient Egyptians, the Romans, the Fire of London, World War II, and Diet and Digestion. Each scene comes with teaching notes, topic webs, and various other helpful things to bring history and science alive in your classroom. And there's also a CD-ROM containing projectable backdrops, choreography videos and editable scripts.

The 'Tudors to the 20th Century' pack is available now from 'Ancient History and Invaders' and 'Science and Nature' packs are due to be released in April 2010 and September 2010 respectively.
